This really ticked me off:
"The unfortunate reaction from the news media is that this automatically has some kind of tie to the unexplained deaths we've had on the installations," Abel said. "I think it's a bit unfair to the family and the community to try to jump to conclusions."
Now why do you think the media would have that reaction? I'm not the media, and it's the same reaction I had when I saw the article. Two full days after the child is dead, they report it to the media. Why the wait?
Within those two days, no visible signs of trauma. No signs of internal/external injuries, and nothing from toxicology testing. I feel it's obvious, because nobody has been arrested. So now its wait on an autopsy.
Considering the history of Fort Bragg housing since 2007, I think it's quite fair to assume the death is linked. What I think is unfair is this:
The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command announced May 5 that an investigation into why at least 10 infants died at Fort Bragg ended without an answer. Two died after the investigation.
Probably quit investigating the second two children as well.
