HI! IM MOVING TO FAYETTEVILLE NEXT WEEK! RECLOCATING TO FORT BRAGG. I KNOW THAT IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH WATER ELECTRICITY ETC YOU USE, BUT WHAT ARE SOME AVERAGE COSTS FOR UTILITIES IN THE AREA. I BEING TOLD BY A NOT SO UNERLIABLE SOURCE THAT WHEN SHE LIVED THERE SHE WAS IN A 3 BEDROOM HOUSE WITH HER HUSBAND AND ONE CHILD AND HER WATER BILL AVERAGED $200 A MONTH, AND ELECTRICITY WAS $500 A MONTH. THIS WILL BE THE FIRST TIME WE RENT A HOUSE, WE ARE USUALLY IN APARTMENTS AND TOWN HOMES, I USED TO LIVE IN SAN FRANCISCO AND NEVER EVER EVER GOT UTILITES THAT HIGH! PLEASE HELP! THIS WILL PLAY A HUGE ROLE IN OUR DECISION MAKING. THANKS! AND ALL ADVICE FOR RELOCATING IS APPRECIATED.

BY THE WAY ITS JUST MY HUSBAND AND I AND 2 DOGS. SO NOT MANY OF US IN THE HOUSE. =D

Are you living there now? We are relocating to fort bragg in about a month and I'm trying to get a feel on how it is to live there. We are deciding if we should on or off post as well and like you, this will play a huge role in our decision. Thank you!

    Hi,

I'm living here on post now. It does not cost $500 a month in electricity. I have five people in my family. Each take an hour long shower. It cost us $60 in average. In winter it cost us around $80-100. I usual get money back for going under the allowance spending. It's not bad living on post for us because we only have one car. Everything is pretty much walking distance for us. Let me know if you need help with anything when you get here.
Come take a bite of heaven at

iI chose to buy a house. depends on where you choose to live. i live right outside of cameron....because we dont pay city taxes or run off city water and light. we have a 4 bedroom house and its about 2300sqft... our light bill during the summer was about 150 a month... our water is 17.50 a month. if you live in fayetteville or hope mills you will pay a lot higher. we are a family of 3 and i am always washing dishes and clothes. the drive isnt far... about 10min to butner gate without traffic.
